Inspiration for your visit
Trosa is a cosy, picturesque town that every year ends up high on lists of Sweden’s most attractive towns and most popular visitor destinations. The delightful location close to the archipelago and the walks along the beautiful Trosa River are frequently mentioned as excursion tips for the summer. However, Trosa is a living district that offers service, retail, food, accommodation, events and leisure activities all year round!
We take an empty picnic basket along for the trip, as we will be shopping on the way. Fill your stomach and basket with fresh vegetables, meat from organic farmers and beautiful plants. We want to discover the local artisan food.
Surrounded by lush forest, Åda Golf & Country Club is situated in the midst of Sörmland nature. Not far from the glittering sea. Located just outside Trosa, the Isoz family has run this popular golf club since 2003. Around the golf course, they have established a friendly and service-oriented business. Guided by the motto “everyone is welcome”. On the golf course, in the hotel, and in the restaurant.
Up for a royal excursion, an hour south of Stockholm? Tullgarn Castle is well worth a visit. The building is magnificent, and the apple orchards as well as the castle park overlooking the sea are open all year round.
This year, we’re seeking tranquillity, togetherness, and zero screen time on our holiday. We have booked accommodation in the archipelago village of Kråmö and will spend an entire week in Trosa’s beautiful archipelago.
Stendörren Nature Reserve is found between Trosa and Nyköping. In addition to breath-taking nature experiences, this area offers a unique opportunity. To walk all the way out to the very edge of the archipelago without ever getting into a boat.
The town of Trosa is located 70 kilometres south of Stockholm. The municipality has just over 14,400 permanent residents, but periodically, its population far exceeds that. Excellent connections with the outside world and the proximity to the Swedish capital, along with the sea, the forest, lakes, meadows, and the agricultural region, make it hard for people to tear themselves away. The population of Trosa has grown steadily for years now, as has the municipality’s popularity as a destination. If you haven’t been here already, we’d love to have you.
