MTB Trail in Vitalisskogen
For those who ride mountain bikes, there is now an opportunity to cycle on Trosa municipality’s mountainbike trail in Vitalisskogen.
The mountainbike trail in Vitalisskogen is approximately 1.7 kilometers long. The difficulty level is blue with elements of green, meaning it is easy and at times very easy. The trail is suitable for both beginners and more experienced mountain bikers. For your own safety, you should have some cycling experience and wear a helmet.
Create a Harmonious Cycling Experience
“The trail moves naturally in the landscape and has been planned to create a harmonious cycling experience that goes in sync with nature’s own rhythm.
The trail is primarily intended for mountain bikes, but any bike with functioning brakes can be used. You are welcome to use an electric bike, but motorized vehicles are not allowed on the trail.

Follow Blue Signs
The trail and direction are marked with blue signs. It is important that everyone follows the direction of the signs to avoid encounters and thereby increase safety. In a few places, the trail crosses the illuminated exercise track and the pedestrian and bicycle path; these crossings are marked with warning signs. Remember to show consideration and be careful as Vitalisskogen is used by many people for exercise, recreation, and as a thoroughfare.
The MTB trail has been designed and built by We Ride MTB. The surface of the trail alternates between gravel and natural terrain. In some places, the trail splits, allowing you to choose either the path marked A or the one marked B. The B path is somewhat more challenging and a bit longer.

Öbolandetslingan - 4 km
A shorter trail at Öbolandet between classic Swedish cottages and new architecture. Close to the beach as well as the city center.

- Borgmästarholmen beach and nature site (Natura 2000)
- Modern architecture mixed with classic Swedish cottages
- Near Trosa Havsbad & camping with beach, piers, diving tower, adventure golf and restaurant Algoth på Udden

13 km long in a senic area between meadows, fields and forests.

The trail is best cycled counterclockwise with a architecture round and a coffe break in the end at Emils backe (go to tartetatin.se for opening hours)

Never leave rubbish in nature, take it with you home again.
Show respect for animals and nature and others who also visit nature. There are several stables near theese trail suggestions, show consideration for riders, not all horses are used to cyclists.

Cycling at Bergs Gård mtb-arena
Bergs Gård (farm) has several challenging and fun trails for mountain biking in the nearby Sörmland forest. 28 kilometres of trails and loops await in the forest. They’re designed by professional cyclists and are of varying difficulty.
