At Trosa Havsbad there is a campsite, glamping and cottages, restaurant Algoth på udden, a beach and adventure golf.
At the end of Öbolandet, about 3 km from central Trosa, is Trosa Havsbad and campsite. As the name suggests (havsbad), there is a beach here.
Here there is a sandy beach, cliffs, jetty and jumping tower. There is a ramp for the disabled at the beach. There is also a restaurant, ice cream kiosk, camping, glamping, cottages and adventure golf.
Camping, glamping and cottages
Trosa havsbad has been a campsite for a long time. Here, the previous entrepreneur ran a campsite with cabins and a cafe for about 30 years. The new entrepreneur has developed the campsite further and expanded the business with glamping (glamorous camping) as well as adventure golf and a restaurant.
Did you know?
Algoth Nisska was a Finnish sea captain who, during the Prohibition era, smuggled alcoholic beverages across both the Swedish and Finnish archipelagos. One of the many stories about Algoth suggests that he also operated in the Trosa archipelago. The shoals near Julafton Lighthouse were a popular place to sink barrels of alcohol and hide them from patrolling customs officers.
After Prohibition ended in the 1930s, Algoth used his smuggling skills to help Jews escape Nazi Germany.
The entrepreneur envisions that Algoth might have landed at the very spot where the restaurant is now opening. Who knows, perhaps it was one of the locations where alcohol smuggling occurred? At one of Trosa’s Storyspots (download the app on your smartphone), you can hear more about the legendary Algoth Nisska.
Activities
You don’t have to be idle out here at the campsite. Both camping guests and day visitors gather here at the beach, and in addition to swimming opportunities, there is an adventure golf course, playground, sauna raft, kayak and bicycle rental and an ice cream kiosk to enjoy a cooling ice cream in the sun.
Get here
The car park at Trosa Havsbad is usually well attended. We therefore recommend you go to Havsbadet with the Blue Train. Or why not take the bike? For those who do not have their own, there are bicycles to rent at Team Sportia in Trosa and in the Trosa guest harbour.
